A little info about this blog site

This blog site is a good place to post teachings and comment on others teachings... to fellowship and get to know one another... unfortunately, authors (of original postings) have to be invited by me to post... I have invited some, no one has accepted as of yet... but anyone can comment to a post.... if you would like to be an author.. please, by all means... send me your email addy, and I will send you and invite... or if you just have a one time thing to post here... email that to me... and I will copy and paste it here, naming you, or whoever the author is, as author... my email: biblebug@windstream.net AND biblebug5@gmail.complease send to both... in case one of them sends it to funk mail... these things are moody ya know...to read a comment, click on comment at end of post... if you want to add another comment there is an area at the end of the comment to post your comment right then and there... or if you don't want to read any comments, just want to post one... above the first comment is a place to click to "jump to post comment"at the very top right hand corner, for the authors... is a "post thread" place (I think that is what it says) to post a new thread...enjoy...

REMEMBER MY BIRTHDAY???

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration.I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation. The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face......... and I wanted to be with them and share their table. In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me.Since I was not invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a great time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying : "Santa Claus, Santa Claus"... as if the party were in his honor !At 12 midnight all the people began to hug each other ; I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and .... do you know .... no one hugged me. Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one ? I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.Every year it gets worse. People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts, the parties and nobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, I only want that you believe this with all you heart.I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invitation, will be left outside. Do you know how you can answer this invitation? it is by extending it to others whom you care for... I'll be waiting for all of you to attend my party this year...See you soon .... I love you ! --

DRINKING FROM THE WRONG CUP

return home (or click the "back"button if you came from another site)Have you ever just felt like all of a sudden you woke up from a long sleepand feel like you have been drinking from the wrong cup... and it don't lookso good anymore... or feel so good anymore...I did... oh... about 19 years ago... I was drinking from bottles and cans... (whiskey and beer)... but that is not all... I am not talking about drinking in the natural... I am talking about what I was drinking spiritually... I was spiritually drinking from the sewer... it stunk... and I stunk...Remember the song "Looking For Love in all the Wrong Places"... well THAT songhad to have been written about me... and buddy I was not finding love anywhere...oh sure, I found satans counterfit love, but it wasn't satisfying...(can I just be blunt here... young people... old people... all people... listen up... news flash... SEX AIN'T LOVE... there I said it, and the world didn't end... whew... wow... that felt pretty good getting that out in the open, didn't it?)Then one day I was cleaning my house and drinking a beer... my husband (who I am still married to by the way) was on the porch talking to his Mom, they didn't know I could hear them...He said "Mom, I think I finally got me a woman that loves me" and she answered (in that long, slow southern drawL)"yeah son, I believe ya did, and she'll follow you anywhere you want to lead her, even straight to hell, if that's what ya want" I didn't hear anymore... I set my beerdown and I said "No, Lord, I ain't gonna follow anybody to hell, no one is worth that" (you see, I knew she was telling the truth... that is exactly what I was doing...listen close now... this is important... ANYONE CAN GRAB HOLD OF ANYBODY'S COAT TAIL AND TAG ALONG TO HELL... BUT YOU CANNOT TAG ALONG TO HEAVEN... YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN WAY TO HEAVEN....if you are a tag alonger... LET GO FOR YOUR OWN SAKE... and make your own way to Heaven)... well when I set that beer down I repented before God, and asked Him to forgive me and come into my heart and be the Lord of my life... I told Him... "I got a lot wrong with me... I don't know much, and ain't got much to offer you Lord... I need a LOT of help... but here I am Lord, I am yours, I know it ain't much but it's all I got to offer ya Lord" I literally said that to God... and you know what He said to me...."It's about time, daughter! What you are giving me is all I ever wanted... YOU"... and you know what... ... I was on cloud nine... it was the best choice I have ever made... I have never, nor will I ever regret it!!you see I was drinking from the polluted water that the world offers (not only our physical water is polluted... but the spiritual waters the world offers is polluted too... But I got me a deep drink of that LIVING WATER...Joh 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.(KJV)You see I began drinking that living water that only my good shepherd can provide... And I invite you... come... drink... deeply ... of that living water...you know you have sinned, we all have... just ask Jesus to forgive you... He will... ask Him to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life... and let HIm in... all He wants is YOU... no more... no less... just you... talk to Him like He is your brother... your Father.... cause He is... God the Father and God the son are one...and He will take you in His arms and love you like a good Father loves His child...
